Chocolate and chocolate making is part of the Belgium heritage. Unsurprisingly, on average Belgians eat 6 kilos of chocolate per person each year. 


BELGIAN CLASSICS

The term Praliné is of Belgian origin. A ‘Praliné’ is defined as a filled chocolate candy. Over the years pralines became a token of love, not very surprising as each piece is made by hand, or at least the true Belgian pralines are, with much thought and love for the crafts.

The traditional praliné in Belgium is a chocolate shell filled with a soft or liquid filling. Praliné creamy filling is made from crushed almonds, hazelnuts or other nuts combined with boiled sugar, vanilla, chocolate, and cocoa. Traditionally, there have been four types of pralinés. The first type is made from milk chocolate and is filled with almonds or hazelnuts, sugar, vanilla and cacao. Another praliné is composed of dark chocolate and creamed milk or buttercream. Every connoisseur knows the dark chocolate and marzipan version and the praliné is known as manon. It is famous for its white chocolate or caramelized sugar and often coffee-scented with a filling made from creamed milk or buttercream and a nut in the center.

The flavour and texture combination for which pralinés are known, and which helped them gain their fame, is unique on its own. It took other Belgian chocolatiers years before they were able to create a praliné as delicate as they are now.

Master chocolate makers continue to improve their recipe, for example adding new flavors such as gianduja - a subtle mixture of chocolate and grounded hazelnuts mixed together. This way you get a very soft melting hazelnut chocolate mixture. The ganache version uses creamed milk and chocolate as well as ingredients such as liqueur, tea or fruit. If you prefer truffles note that this is a sweet mix of butter, melted sugar and chocolate usually accompanied by liqueur.

You’ll find a wide array of golden oldies – from the classical gianduja, dark, milk and white pralines, filled with different sorts of fillings (ganache, caramel, hazelnut or almond praliné, almonds, nuts, marzipan, salted caramel, coffee, a spirit, cream liqueur, cherry or a chocolate blend that contrasts with the outer shell. The choice is almost limitless! From classical tastes to personally crafted chocolates, or brand-new recipes for each season There are elaborate combinations of exotic fruit fillings, Cointreau or pasteis de nata. 

Chocolates are made of sustainable cacao beans.

It all started from the BELGIAN CHOCOLATE! The idea to launch chocolate shop was inspired by two things. First, and foremost – my LOVE to chocolate! Chocolate is an aphrodisiac, it makes you happy in an instant, it can shift your mood to the right direction, it can inspire you for creativity or just joyfully accompany your moment of a personal success, big or small.


This moment is when your taste receptors emerge into this mix of a holy chocolate pleasure and it creates this sensational feeling (at least for one second) that life is just wonderful! How else, if you are about to eat a piece of chocolate, which is so marvellously delicious, a praliné - so exquisite and authentic - a unique taste of real Belgium!

Every piece is different, every chocolate was created with love, decorated by hand. That is why it is unique!
